Greetings, I’m Dr. Jason Woo.
In 2012, I proudly graduated from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry and Vision Science. My practice is licensed by the College of Optometrists of Ontario, enabling me to prescribe glasses, contact lenses, and therapeutic pharmaceutical agents for various eye conditions.
My journey into optometry began early as I started wearing glasses at the age of 4 for nearsightedness and astigmatism. Over the years, I’ve worn hard and soft contact lenses, faced complications from overuse, undergone LASIK eye surgery, dealt with eye injuries, infections, allergies, dry eyes, and experienced strain from extensive computer work. In essence, I don’t just possess the knowledge to treat your eye condition; I understand firsthand what you’re going through.
Having practiced optometry since 2012, I’ve learned the value of clear communication. I don’t assume that my patients are familiar with the intricacies of their eye conditions. Instead, I straightforwardly explain results, avoiding confusing analogies and oversimplifications.
My services encompass a broad range of exams, including routine eye exams for all ages, emergency eye care, contact lens fittings (including multifocal and astigmatism lenses), pre and post-surgery care (cataract surgery, laser vision correction, etc.), and more. While I don’t provide specialized services like binocular vision therapy or keratoconus contact lens fittings, I can assist you in finding the right specialist for your needs.
I conduct eye exams in English, French, or American Sign Language (with the understanding that signing may need to be slower). For those who don’t speak these languages, feel free to bring a friend or family member for translation—just inform us in advance so we can allocate the necessary time for a comprehensive exchange of information during the exam.
